Able Futures

The aim of Able Futures is to help you enjoy more good days. Able Futures delivers the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.

Able futures background

Able Futures provides 9 months of confidential, no-cost support from mental health professionals to help employees manage conditions such as anxiety, depression, or stress while maintaining work performance.

Able Futures recognise that every person will need something different from the Able Futures programme, and have designed a personalised and integrated service to reflect this. The aim is to help you manage your mental health concerns, support you to reach your goals, and improve your mental wellbeing so that you can feel more confident and capable at work.

Your qualified Mental Health Coach (MHC) will work with you over the next 9 months to provide the right support and guidance at the right time, helping to build your confidence, wellbeing, skills and motivation so that you’re ready to move forward to a more enjoyable future at work.

What is Able Futures?

  • Able Futures provides 9 months of confidential, no-cost support from mental health professionals to help employees manage conditions such as anxiety, depression, or stress while maintaining work performance.
  • The service offers resilience-building support rather than counselling, with no need for a doctor’s referral or waiting list – Access our support within 30 days of making your referral!

  • The service complements existing wellbeing strategies, with referrals to additional resources like Employee Assistance Programmes or counselling/therapies if needed.
